Volunteering at the Freedom CentersWhether you're a military veteran, have a son or daughter in the service, or simply just retired from you day job and live in the Lansing or metro-Detroit areas, please consider volunteering at the MI Freedom Centers.
Our great volunteers have hosted over 550,000 members of the military and their families since our first lounge opened five years ago. Our Detroit Metro Airport lounges are open 365 days a year. Many of our volunteers have been with us since our opening in November 2011 and tremendously enjoy assisting our service men and women during their travels. Click the button at the top of this page to become a member of our team. Meeting the needs of our guests is the primary purpose of MAFHC's Freedom Centers. Every day our staff and volunteers step up to meet that challenge. We're always looking for dedicated, reliable, and talented individuals to join our team. Some volunteers work weekly shifts on-site greeting guests and assisting with their needs as they travel; others work remotely providing various other services and support. If you are interested in being part of the Freedom Center team, our online application is available by clicking the button at the top of this page.
